International Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

As an International Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan in specific EMEA markets (such as part of Eastern Europe, Baltic countries, North Africa, certain other Mediterranean countries, etc).

You will also work closely with executives and management teams, meeting potential business partners, maintaining existing customer relationships, and monitoring market trends to develop new business opportunities.

You will report to the Export Director - EMEA, South Asia & Australasia.

 

Area of responsibility

  • Further development of existing business areas and distribution channels.
  • Working with existing distributors and their sales channels.
  • Developing new business areas, sales channels, products, new customers, and partners in these EMEA markets (e.g., sports/outdoor, food, DIY, pharmacy, e-commerce sales channels).
  • Budget planning and achievement.
  • Strategy development, creation of business plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting.
  • Working on special projects in different EMEA markets, such as identifying new direct relationships with key accounts on/in selected channels/regions.
  • Creating business plans for potential new product sales in various product categories.

Knowledge & Requirements

  • Completed business education (or degree), several years of professional experience.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, management of projects and controlling, ideally in retail or with international consumer goods brands.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of initiative and implementation skills.
  • Awareness of market requirements (EMEA markets), analytical skills and enjoy research activities.
  • Fluency in English, ideally knowledge of French, other European languages are an advantage.
  • Intercultural skills and high willingness to travel.
  • Ideally based in Germany.
